  9. Fixed handling of menu.  Works fine in System file and/or with Suitcase II.  I haven't tried it with Font/DA juggler.  It does not work using TMLTestDA so

  15. PHILOSOPHY:
  16. ===========
  17. Term102 is meant to be a "lean and mean" utility.  You can use it to establish a connection to a remote system.  Then you may close the window and go about your Macintosh business.  If you need to access the remote system, just open the DA again.  Your connection should still be established!

  20. INSTALLATION:
  21. =============
  22. You need to use the Font/DA mover (tested with version 3.8).
  23.  
  24. 1. Copy the Term102 DA from the "Term102" file into your system file (or Suitcase file).
  25.  
  26. 2. Copy the six fonts into your system file (or Suitcase file).  To do this, you will need to hold down the option key when pressing the "open" button in the Font/DA Mover.  You will then see the file "Term102" and can open it.  There are two fonts are named %Ascii, two name %Suppl, and two name %Special.  YOU NEED ALL SIX FONTS!

Why is all this necessary?  Well, it appears the Apple's Font/DA mover does not update the NFNT number's residing in a FOND resource when these resources are copied via a DA move.  What this means is that although the all of the resource numbers would be correct, the actual information in the FOND resource would be wrong.

  31. USING THE KEYBOARD:
  32. ===================
  33. If you have a ADB keyboard with a "control" key, go ahead and hold the control and press a letter to send control codes.  If you don't have such a keyboard, hold down both the command key and the option key and the press a letter.

  36. NON-INTUITIVE FEATURES:
  37. =======================
  38. Toggle DTR - This menu item negates DTR for a moment and then reasserts DTR.  This is useful for modems which may use this as an "attention" terminal.  This feature is often called "disconnect".

  40. Maintain DTR - This checkbox item in the serial dialog box maintains DTR in it's current state (asserted) when TERM102 is closed.  This should have the effect of keeping the current connection, allowing you to exit and reenter Term102 without reestablishing the connection.

  82. 2. You may not distribute a changed version of Term102.  Feel free to modify your own copy all you want; just make sure that you give away or upload the original version.

  84. 3. You may NOT charge anything for Term102.  Nor may you use Term102 to induce anyone to buy a product.  There are two exceptions to this policy:  BBS's and commercial information systems (like GEnie) that charge a fee for membership and connect time, but not for individual downloads.  Additionally, NON-PROFIT user's groups may charge a copying fee in distribution.  Note that  companies which sell disks for profit may NOT distribute Term102.
